 Irish stylist Sinead O'Dwyer made her debut at London Fashion Week last year and continues to bring innovation by showcasing models of different bodies, colors, and sizes. This year, in 2023, was no exception.


The London fashion week began last Friday (17) and will continue until the following Tuesday (21). During this time, the English capital becomes a stage for talented young designers, as well as featuring traditional brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Burberry.


In the 2022 season, the Sinéad O'Dwyer brand made its debut and attracted a lot of attention, not only for the clothing but also for the diverse casting chosen for the runway. Models of all body types showcased the brand's clothes, embodying Sinéad's vision. Sinéad O'Dwyer, the Irish stylist responsible for O'Dwyer, believes in the idea that everyone should be represented in fashion.


For the autumn/winter 2023 collection, expectations were high, and Sinéad did not disappoint. On the contrary, she once again brought innovation by featuring models of different sizes and shapes, including a pregnant model. The clothes were inspired by desire, exploring ideas of tenderness, longing, and allure.









The designer showcased mini and maxi pleated skirts, halter neckties, and corsets that supported the bust. Drawing inspiration from her late grandmother's wardrobe, Sinead also combined oversized satin pajama sets with wool jackets and traditional trench coats.


According to the London Fashion Week website, "Sinéad O'Dwyer's designs reflect the kaleidoscopic spectrum of feminine expression for all body shapes and sizes." The site also states, "...her work explores silicone molding, elasticity, and the creation of innovative patterns as technologies to comfortably accommodate female bodies that have historically been excluded from ready-to-wear luxury." The website presents a brief description of all the participating designers' work, along with photos from previous collections.


This event takes place in London twice a year, in February and September, and attracts approximately 5,000 visitors. The main runway show is exclusive to invited celebrities, journalists, and designers. However, the general public is invited to attend small fashion shows held throughout the city, most of which are free of charge.
